Veterinary Surgeon
Lisa Mestrinho qualified from Lisbon University in 2003, worked in first opinion and referral practices and started in academia in 2008. She holds 2 Master of science degrees and a PhD, among other academic certifications. She is Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, Diplomate of both American Veterinary Dental College and European Veterinary Dental College.
She works as Associated Professor with habilitation of the Clinical Department, Veterinary Faculty - Lisbon University, where she leads the dentistry and oral surgery service of the teaching hospital and develops her research at the institution’s research center (CIISA) and associate lab (AL4Animals).
Aiming to improve oral health of all species, Lisa Mestrinho contributes with frequent scientific publications, mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals and researchers, works as a dentistry and oral surgery consultant in other practices, hospitals and institutions, and is actively involved in several scientific and professional societies
